This above image shows the user where modules are created on joomla modules are important as you need to create them to put articles and webpages together overall using joomla was new to me as i have never used it before in website creation but I had fun learning this new software.

In the above image I am creating my article using joomla. In this website it is a bit easier when creating content as you simply write your text in the box above you edit it in the box and you add images as well to the text box as shown above.

Making my website on joomla

For my responsive website I used Joomla to create it. This website is similar to Word-Press and it was my first time using it too create a website. Overall I found it sort of difficult to use as I  had never used it before. The first thing I did was to buy a domain name since my website was called Techhacks I bought The domain name tech hacks and used this to set up my website. After doing that I made a menu and within this menu,  I had created articles which linked to the menu and can be viewed as webpages once published.

The target audience I wish to advertise my website too would start from the age of 12-till 30.

The reason my target audience is not so specific is because now at days  in our society. Everyone has a smart device of some sort, and since my websites information is so broad I believe anyone can benefit from this website in some way or form. The only groups of people who this

 may not apply too are the very young and the very old as both these groups of people may not have any real interest in technology. As they are either too old to adapt to this technology or still too young to operate a smart device let alone know about what tech hacks they could use too there own benefit.

This is another website which I spoke about on one of my earlier blog posts its layout consists of a blue, white and black colour scheme. As seen above one of the first things which is noticeable about this website is its logo. Which stands out the creator made this possible by using cool fonts, which I spoke about earlier its important for a website to stand out too grab attention of an online audience. For my website I will do something of the same standard except my logo will be tech hacks related which I'm still working on at the moment  after looking at some ideas I realised that to make my website different I must come up with a unique name for it which I'm working on at the moment, also looking at more websites has made me realise the only  way I will stand out might be include a another colour as all these other websites are almost all the same with there colour schemes individuality is needed for success in this department and that's what I plan to do with my design for my website

   This is the type of design I will not follow as it is very uninteresting to the eye and I personally as a user would not want to read this article the reason I say this is when looking at the web page we see  the colour scheme of black and white isn't vibrant to the eye. Also there are too many facts too read I  don't think any user would want too read up to 52 tech hacks as this would be overwhelming  to the user and overall take away from the users interest I feel with this type of website interactivity is needed too make it more attractive overall therefore I will do that differently on my website

After looking at more ideas for my website,  I have a better idea of what I want to do with my website I will definitely keep a duotone design with the banner, a space grey colour, the background will be white and will include some blue in some parts, The reasons I want to include both space grey and blue in my websites colour scheme, is because I feel these colours will give and express a more technology based website as these colours can be associated with technology I do feel I need more vibrant colours to be eye-catching to whoever decides to view my website to do this I can play with some word fonts which may raise attention to whomever views

More ideas I have for my website include, encoding slideshows throughout my website the reason I want to use this as an idea, is it will make my website more interactive which is something I want to do , one thing I have noticed is other websites which includes hacks do not make it that interactive therefore  also adding photos of technology which  I feel will give it more of a technology feel I'm going for. This will make my website stand out from the other competitors another way to make my website more interactive is to add things like flashy buttons  this may entice more users to click on the next page to find out more information flashy colours cool fonts and  a high level of interactivity is what will make my work stand out from others at this stage it is still ideas as I continue  I will see what works and what  doesn't and make alterations where it needs to be done

The design for this website, I believe is more eye catching to the user as it uses similar colours to  techs viral website but the only differences I believe is it is more fancy as it includes  a grey background more pictures ,this website overall is more beautiful but one thing which I have noticed about this website its home page doesn't include the tech hacks you have to click on a button to go to the website I will not do that with my own website as I want the information to be more easily available one big thing that always matters in a website is its functionality if users do not see what hey are looking for straight away then they may be put off on reading the rest of the information available on the website

Tech-viral colour scheme, has a similar design to what I want to do with my website the only differences are the layout for this website, I believe is too simple they only have two colours on their colour scheme and its not very user interactive, but they implement the  right choice of colours in this website which makes it vibrant and eye catching to whoever comes across  this website and therefore user friendly the website in easy to manoeuvre  through I feel this is an important aspect as it makes it more likely that people will stay on the website that's  if the info is as good as the layout  itself the font they used has a technology feel this is one of the reasons I wish to go for a duotone colour scheme

pocket lint is another website which the design is quite simple but I wish to implement some of its layout many of these inspirational websites follow a simple but effective layout which I have noticed I think what will give my website that extra edge is making it more interactive wit slideshows pictures and flashy lettering

pocket lint website is a website with a simple blue and white colour scheme. It doesn't really have flash lettering, but I noticed it stands out from the other websites as its direct and straight to the point it has 52 tech-hacks, which are presented to the user in words and images. It  doesn't have much interactivity and lacks depth, the hacks presented on this website are similar to other competitors which I have checked out. In the sense that  they do not necessarily deal with things which  are already found on the device but it deals with practical ways of enhancing your device  which you may already have for example this competitors opening hack is a picture of a lego man being used as a charging unit this in itself is an example of how to enhance your technology, as I specified n earlier posts I will not do my website like this my website will be ore specialised and wont be as broad as 52 tech hacks  like what pocket-lint did.

This website is similar to the first website I researched. The difference with this one is they include 100 tech-hacks which you can learn there is no slideshow and  it includes a very uninteresting layout. It is not eye catching at first glance. What I would do differently with my tech-hacks website is to only include 10 tech-hacks as I don't think having more than this number will generate traffic and could in fact be more intimidating for the user as they would have to read some facts that may not apply to there specific technology. I feel to have a very effective website I cannot generalize but specialize on what I am actually promoting that way i will not have useless facts which may come across as boring or uninteresting to the user. As this will lead to uninterested users.

This website stands out to me more than the other two websites. My reason for this is its specializes on teaching the user about the best Android  hack apps for Android phones this is more useful as it is for a specific audience and therefore the information is more helpful. I want my website to be like this as it will attract a specific group of people. I will not make it as specific as "Android apps" but it will definitely be more phone related than overall technology related.

The life-hack website is a general  hack website which has  included a spectrum of hacks related to many aspects of everyday life. On the website they include 30 hacks for Iphones this was quite interesting to me as it is only for  IOS devices and shows specialization. I want my website to include some hacks for IOS devices and life-hacks does this very well as it explains better forms of accessibility you can achieve with your iPhone. Such as buttons you can press to hack your IOS device, most of the hacks on this website teach on better functionality this sort of hack is something, I would include in my website.

I think what makes my website stand out from others will be the way I categorize my hacks. For example if I have 10 tech hacks, and I split them into 5 groups of 2.  Two hacks in one group for example  could deal with iPhone devices accessibility 2 could relate with something specific to Android apps  but wouldn't be based on accessibility and so on this gives my hacks specialization but also allows for variation on all devices the design on Lifehacks does sort of stand out lifehacks is for hacks which deal for every aspect of life and there design expresses this notion beautifully

Popsugar is a website  which wrote an article on 17 Techhacks, that  you can do to use your technology more efficiently. When you visit there website they have  created a slideshow which shows you various life-hacks you can do with your technology. The difference between what  I want to do and what  Popsugar have done, is they have used the term  "technology" in  a broad way. The tech-hacks which they are promoting does not just deal with electronic devices but also with anything which can be tied to the term technology. For example tech-hack 10 talks about using a plastic cup as a charging station for your device. I will do my own website differently as i will promote tech-hacks which are related to electronic devices such as an I Phone or Android or laptop. One thing I would like to implement Into my website is a slideshow just as popsugar has done.  I feel this is a strategy for creating a more interactive user experience too keep the user interested in what they are about to learn. Just like buzzfeed though popsugar spoke about enhancing your device is some form for better performance.
